Expectations were sky high for the A380; and for its certification process. IGB met the challenge by staying one step ahead.
In 2009, Air France became the first European operator of the Airbus A380. This addition to their fleet boosted the airline’s capacity as well as established new standards in the flying experience in terms of space, comfort and silence.
IGB worked on the structural certification for the Video Control Center (VCC) unit which accommodates several entertainment facilities as well as other amenities for passenger comfort.
The structural substantiation included:
• Interface Loads
• Static Test Plans
• Windmilling Substantiation
Thanks to our highly automated processes and experience, deliverables were submitted well before the deadline and thoroughly documented.
